Who we are
MemoryCrafter is run by GalaxyCrafter AB (org. nr 559467-6677), Erikslustvägen 32B, 217 73 Malmö, Sweden. When these terms say "we", "us", or "MemoryCrafter", that's who we mean.
If anything here is unclear, write to us at info@memorycrafter.ai. We'd rather explain than confuse.
What MemoryCrafter is
MemoryCrafter helps you write your life story — or a baby book, a wedding book, any story worth keeping — with a little help from AI. You write, upload photos, and shape chapters; we help you turn them into something beautiful.
If you choose, we'll also print your book as a real, physical hardcover and send it to you. The service is available on the web and through our mobile app.
Your account
When you create an account, please give us accurate details and keep them up to date. Your email is how we reach you about your book and your subscription.
Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so if you think someone else has gotten in, change your password and tell us right away.
One account is for one person. You're welcome to write about your whole family — but the account itself belongs to you alone.
Subscriptions and billing
We offer monthly, six-month and twelve-month subscriptions — the six- and twelve-month plans available with or without a printed hardcover included — plus a one-time Legacy Gift purchase. Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment provider — your card details go to Stripe, never to our servers.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel anytime from your account settings; your subscription then runs until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. We don't refund partial periods unless the law says otherwise.
If you're a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal. When you start a subscription, you ask us to begin the digital service immediately, and you acknowledge that once we have fully performed it, your withdrawal right for that service ends; if you withdraw during the 14 days, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the time already used. Printed books are made to order with your personal content, so under EU consumer law the withdrawal right does not apply to them once printing has begun.
Gifts
A Legacy Gift includes a 12-month subscription plus a printed book, delivered as a redemption code you can give to someone you love. The recipient redeems the code by creating (or signing in to) their own MemoryCrafter account.
Redemption codes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a code is about to expire unused, write to us — we're human about these things.
The buyer's statutory withdrawal rights apply to gift purchases in the same way as described above, counted from the day of purchase, as long as the code has not been redeemed.
Your content stays yours
Your stories, photos, and memories belong to you. Full stop. We claim no ownership of anything you create or upload.
To run the service, we need your permission to do a few practical things with your content: store it, back it up, display it to you in the app, prepare and print it when you order a book, and send it to our AI providers to power the writing and illustration features you use. You grant us a license to do exactly that — nothing more — and it ends when you delete your content or your account, except for the short backup window described in our Privacy Policy.
AI features
MemoryCrafter uses AI to help you write and to generate images. AI is a wonderful assistant and an imperfect one: it can misremember, misphrase, or invent details. Please read and review everything before you print — the final word is always yours.
Your content is sent to our AI providers only to provide these features to you. It is not used to train our models, and our agreements with our providers prohibit them from using it to train theirs.
Acceptable use
Use MemoryCrafter for lawful content only. Don't upload material that infringes someone else's copyright, or content that is abusive, hateful, or exploitative.
Life stories naturally include other people. When you write about others or upload their photos, please respect their privacy and make sure you have the right to share what you share — especially for photos of people who haven't agreed to appear in your book.
Don't try to break, probe, or overload the service, and don't use it to harm others. If something looks like a security hole, tell us instead of exploiting it.
Printing and delivery
Printed books are produced and shipped by a trusted third-party print partner. Production and delivery times are estimates, and we'll keep you informed if something is delayed.
You approve the final version of your book before it goes to print, so please check it carefully — what you approve is what gets printed.
If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us at info@memorycrafter.ai and we'll make it right, including a free reprint where appropriate. We stand behind every book we make. Your statutory rights for faulty goods are never affected.
Ending things
You can delete your account yourself, anytime, from the security page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — please download or print anything you want to keep first.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms — for example, for unlawful content or abuse. Where reasonably possible, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to respond, and we'll let you export your content unless the law prevents it.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep MemoryCrafter reliable and your memories safe, but no online service can promise perfection. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect losses or for things outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for intent, gross negligence, or harm to life and health. If you're a consumer, nothing here takes away the rights your national consumer law gives you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MemoryCrafter grows. For meaningful changes, we'll give you notice — by email or in the app — at least 30 days before they take effect.
If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swedish law. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you always keep the mandatory protections of the law of your home country, and you can bring disputes before your local courts.
We'd much rather talk than litigate — most problems can be solved with an email to info@memorycrafter.ai. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or contact their national consumer dispute board (in Sweden, ARN).
